 | Used when the depth being fished is graeter then the length of the rod, or when bankside foliage restricts overarm casting. For fishing stillwaters a large bodied waggler is employed as a slider, while on running water a special balsa float with two rings is used. In order to stop the float at the required distance above the bait, a sliding stop knot is tied onto the main line. See Knots
