When Stret Pegging, the float should be fished double rubber, over-depth and over-shotted. Basically, this means that the line between the float and the hook should be about twice as long as the water is deep and should carry roughly twice the amount of shot.
The line must be held tight between float and rod tip - otherwise, being heavily over-shot, the float will just sink to the bottom. |
